Puolalaisen lyhytelokuvan mitalisteja to 7.11.2013 Eurooppasalissa
Kultahippuja viime vuoden Short Waves -tuotannosta rantautuu marraskuussa Helsinkiin. Ohjelmassa on kiinnostavia puolalaista lyhytelokuvia: animaatioita, kertomuksia, dokumentteja, videotaideteoksia. Poznańilaisen Ad Arte -säätiön järjestämä tapahtuma ilahduttaa Saksassa, Isossa-Britanniassa, Ranskassa ja Unkarissa. Short Waves Allround - puolalaisia lyhytelokuvia Elokuvissa on englanninkieliset tekstitykset Hilpeyttä, hymyä, hoksaamista... SHORT WAVES ALLROUND 2013
Former editions of Short Waves Festival proved that Polish short cinema is in an excellent condition. To meet the big interest, Ad Arte Foundation, the organizer of the Festival, created Short Waves Allround series, that continues this idea by presenting and promoting Polish short films abroad. In 2013 5 great shows are scheduled in France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary and Finland.

SHORT FILMS ALLROUND 2013
Poprzednie edycje Festiwalu Short Waves dowiodły, że polskie kino krótkometrażowe jest w doskonałej kondycji. W odpowiedzi na duże zainteresowanie Fundacja Ad Arte - organizator Festiwalu - stworzyła cykl Short Waves Allround, który kontynuuje ideę Festiwalu Short Waves, prezentując i promując polską twórczość krótkometrażową za granicą. W 2013 roku odbędzie się 5 pokazówy w: Francji, Niemczech, Wielkiej Brytanii, na Węgrzech i w Finlandii.

Animowana historia dziewczyny broniącej się przed zamążpójściem. Obraz natchniony rodzimym folklorem, ale swobodnie czerpiący z innych źródeł.
The Hunt / Agnieszka Konarska / 2’ A tragic story of a captured bird who in order to soar is given help from a rat. Exactly, a rat. Polowanie / Agnieszka Konarska / 2’ Tragiczna historia uwięzionego ptaka, któremu szczur pomaga wzbić się do lotu. No właśnie, szczur.

There is everything in the heroine’s house but it’s an empty place. Suddenly, it becomes full of memories and warmth that objects are unable to provide. An uninvited guest, who seems to have been awaited for a long time, becomes the house’s inhabitant for a short while.

W domu bohaterki niby jest wszystko, ale to pusty dom. Nagle wypełnia się jednak wspomnieniami i ciepłem, którego przedmioty nie są w stanie zapewnić. Nieproszony gość, jakby od dawna wyczekiwany, na chwilę staje się jego mieszkańcem.

After his wife’s death Paweł stays with his small daughter. He needs to play the role of a mother – literally and metaphorically. When he finally finds the solution and the child starts coping with the tragedy better, the same solution takes him to court.

Po śmierci żony Paweł zostaje sam z małą córką. Musi teraz odegrać rolę matki - dosłownie i w przenośni. Kiedy wreszcie znajduje rozwiązanie i dziecko zaczyna lepiej znosić tragedię, to samo rozwiązanie zaprowadza go przed sąd.

Obserwujemy eksperyment wizualny, który może być jednocześnie zabiegiem psychologicznym.

Maciek is having a stroll on a picturesque hill with his friend. They are having fun and they are talking about the landscape but Maciek cannot see it. The girl is unable to comprehend what it’s like not to see anytginh. However, the boy has a simple explanation.

Maciek przechadza się z koleżanką po malowniczym wzgórzu. Bawią się i rozmawiają o krajobrazie, ale Maciek tego nie widzi. Dziewczynka nie potrafi zrozumieć, jak to jest nie widzieć niczego. Chłopiec ma jednak proste wytłumaczenie.
The Designer/ Tessa Moult-Milewska / 14’ A lonely engineer constructs twin copies of his customers. At some point he starts lacking work and ideas and his bizarre machine starts to die away. In order to trick loneliness he decides to create a copy of himself. Konstruktor / Tessa Moult-Milewska / 14’ Samotny inżynier konstruuje bliźniacze kopie swoich klientów. W pewnym momencie zaczyna brakować mu pracy i pomysłów, a jego dziwne machinarium zamiera. Żeby oszukać samotność, postanawia stworzyć kopię samego siebie.

Włodek is a porter in a workers’ hostel. One day he finds an anticommunist brochure and he reports the fact to the management. Inevitably, he himself becomes the object of an investigation and is put behind bars. Meanwhile, outside the walls the story goes on in an unpredictable way.

Włodek jest portierem w hotelu robotniczym. Któregoś dnia znajduje w budynku antykomunistyczną broszurę, co posłusznie melduje kierownictwu. Niechybnie sam staje się obiektem śledztwa i trafia za kratki. Tymczasem poza murami historia toczy się w nieprzewidziany sposób.
Bzowina / Hubert Napierała / 4’ A birch that has stopped giving juice is useless. There is nothing left to the juice collector but to cut it; however, it turns out to be more difficult than normally. As if the tree was resisting. Bzowina / Hubert Napierała / 4’ Z brzozy, która przestała dawać sok, pożytek już żaden. Zbieraczowi soku pozostaje tylko ją ściąć, ale to okazuje się być trudniejsze niż zazwyczaj. Drzewo jakby się temu opierało. * * * |
